Epic Journeys Project Descriptions:
Whale Ocean Bowls
The epic migrations of whale species in the oceans will be what inspires this beautiful bowl project! Students will choose a whale species to sculpt and place into a slump mold bowl. Once the project is bisqued, ceramic glazes will be added, and blue glass will create the illusion of water in the bottom of the bowls.
Viking Ships
Vikings traveled great distances in boats with carved dragon prows. Students will make their own ceramic boats which will be finished with sails and a Viking passenger.
Space Craft
In this out of this world project, students will design their own alien being to be piloting a space craft!
