Thompson Excavation, trail contractor for the project, is continuing to make progress on the construction of the trail. They have begun work on the Columbus Road side of the trail and expect to be working on embankment activities through the end of July.
The bridge contractor, The Righter Company, is expected to mobilize to the area in the beginning of August to begin work on the bridge.
This project is being completed with funds from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the City of Athens.
