The City of Athens announces that S. Shannon Avenue between Morris Ave. and Ohio Ave. will be closed today 20 April, 2015 from 8:00 A. M. – 4:00 P. M., and tomorrow 21 April, 2015 from 7:30 A. M. until repairs are complete. The closure is for an emergency sewer line repair. There will be no emergency vehicle access during the closure times, but one lane will be open for traffic overnight. The City apologizes for any inconvenience and asks motorists to avoid the area.
