The City of Athens will be working with Fields Excavating, the contractor for the Water System Improvements Project, at the intersection of East State Street and Ransom Road on Wednesday, October 10th, and Thursday, October 11th, 2012.
During the work in this intersection, the eastbound East State Street lane will be closed between Hudson Avenue and Home Street between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. During these times eastbound traffic will be detoured through Hudson Avenue, Elmwood Place, and Home Street. The intersection of East State Street and Ransom Road will also be closed - local traffic will be able to access Ransom Road through Harris Road or Tulane Road.
