City of Athens Southside Area – Planned Water Outage and Boil Order
The City of Athens will be completing a repair to a critical fire hydrant line on Richland Avenue the evening of November 9 and morning of November 10. The work will require a shutdown of the Richland Avenue waterline, which will impact the entire southside area. The water shutdown is expected to occur at 10 pm on November 9 and impact the following areas:

• Hickory Street
• Hooper Street
• Milton
• Mohler Lane
• Mulligan Road
• Richland Avenue
• Summit at Coates Run Apartments
• University Courtyard Apartments
Once the fire hydrant line repair is completed, a precautionary boil order will be issued for the following areas:
