2012 Water System Improvements Project.
The City of Athens announces that there will be an interruption in water service for customers on Woodside Drive and Tulane Road on either Thursday, November 1st, or Friday, November 2nd. The work is weather dependent. The interruption will occur between 8am and 4pm, or until the work is completed. This interruption is necessary to complete a portion of the waterline improvements project.
A boil order will be issued once service is restored. For information residents may call the Engineering and Public Works Office at 740-593-7636, or the boil order hotline at 740-594-5078.
