The Contractor will continue work next week between South Court Street and 12 West Union Street. They will be working on installing the tree planting areas and installing the brick sidewalk. The Contractor expects to complete the sidewalk work in this section by June 8, 2017.
The Contractor expects to move their work zone between 12 West Union Street and 24 West Union Street the week of June 12, 2017. The work during this week will include curb removal, concrete sidewalk removal, and some pavement removal. The electrical subcontractor may also install conduit.
During removal work, the Contractor may be using a jackhammer, an excavator, or saws.
During construction, access to businesses and residences will be maintained, however, there may be times when sidewalk sections are closed and a pedestrian detour will be in place.
Construction progress is weather dependent. The Contractor’s regular working schedule is Monday - Thursday.
