The Contractor will continue working next week between 12 West Union Street and 24 West Union Street. They will be working on concrete sidewalk removal and installation, and installing sections of brick sidewalk. The sidewalk in front of 18 West Union Street (The Union) is expected to be closed on Monday and will re-open Tuesday afternoon. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured.
The Contractor expects to move to the section between 24 West Union Street and 30 West Union Street mid-week. Work in this section will include concrete curb and sidewalk removal, conduit installation, and sidewalk replacement.
During removal work, the Contractor may be using a jackhammer, an excavator, or saws.
Construction progress is weather dependent. The Contractor’s regular working schedule is Monday - Thursday.
