The planned milling and paving on East State Street, between Home Street and Strathmore Boulevard, is delayed until spring, 2019.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) specifications for paving require temperatures to be a minimum of 50 degrees. To ensure the City receives the quality paving product that was specified, the paving in this section will be competed in the spring. The Contractor is scheduled to grind and patch in this section of roadway on Wednesday, November 21. The patching will prepare the street for winter and mitigate potential potholes.
The Contractor is expected to complete the ramp and signal work this year. Once the ramp and signal work is completed, all lanes on East State Street will be open to traffic.
A schedule for paving next year will be released once it is finalized.
