Hydrant Flushing Announcement
The City of Athens will be flushing hydrants on the following date(s):
Aug 25 – Aug 28, 2020
Between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The areas affected will be:
Dove Drive
Warwick Lane
Carroll Road
Carroll Lane
Columbus Road
You may experience discolored water in these areas due to iron sediment in the bottom of the lines being stirred up from increased flow. The water remains safe.
Normally, no boil order will be issued for hydrant testing, but the City recommends you do not wash laundry during this time.
