[ARCHIVED] The Athens Community Center has an opening for a Part-Time Fitness Supervisor

The City of Athens is currently hiring for the position of fitness supervisor in the Community Center. Fitness supervisors are responsible for: keeping the weight room clean/sanitized/organized, supervising patrons’ use of the weight room/gym/exercise studio/track, giving new patrons orientations of equipment in Aid/AED certifications, general knowledge of fitness equipment, and fitness. Fitness supervisors are considered the first responders to any accident that takes place in the weight room/exercise studio/track/gym.

Prior work experience in a fitness center and CPR/First Aid/AED certification is preferred. Applicants currently pursuing a degree in exercise physiology, sport management, athletic training, or recreation sciences will be highly considered.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered. 

This is a part-time, year round position in the Community Center, which operates seven days a week. The starting pay rate is $9.00 per hour.
