[ARCHIVED] Arts Gallery at Arts West: In My Next Life by Whitney Goller on display now through Sept 27th


Friday, Sept. 3, 5pm-7pm: In My Next Life Gallery Reception

Join local ceramic artist, Whitney Goller as she debuts her new series of work: In My Next Life.  This series of work explores the concept of life cycles utilizing cultural symbols tied to our understandings of how life, death and resurrection are connected. Ceramic urns and wall hangings depict rabbits, salamanders, snakes, skeletons and mushrooms in repetitive circular arrangements will be displayed.  The intention for this work is to familiarize its viewers with symbols and thoughts around our conceptions of death, and perhaps to make the limitless ideas of life, death and resurrection more a part of our cultural consciousness. Reception will feature live piano music, provided by Metra Peterson, as well as refreshments. This event is FREE and open to the public.
