The Fire Department will be flushing hydrants this week on Thursday Sept 29, 8am-4pm on Stimson Ave beginning at the intersection at Grant St. and continuing West to the intersection at E. State St. and Carpenter Dr.; as well as the intersection at Ohio Ave. & Watt St., and around East Elementary.
You may experience discolored water in these areas due to iron sediment in the bottom of the lines being stirred up from increased flow. The water remains safe.
Normally, no boil order will be issued for hydrant testing, but the City recommends you do not wash laundry during this time.
