Start Smart Soccer teaches children (ages 3-5) the basic motor skills necessary to play organized soccer, while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents dribbling/ball handling, shooting, passing, and running/agility skills without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Start Smart Soccer sessions are held one time per week for 5 weeks, and each week the exercises become more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. Play will take place on the field behind the Athens Community Center. If there are poor weather conditions the class will go into the gymnasium of the Athens Community Center.
