[ARCHIVED] Gallery Reception: “Monstrology”, featuring new paintings by Emily Beveridge 8/9 from 6-9pm

Emily's art is something to behold, and as she's done amazing work creating pieces and posters in the past, perhaps you've already gotten a taste of her monstrous style. The event will take place from 6pm - 9pm.

Emily attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she received her BFA in Painting in 2006. The same summer she completed her degree, she also married her husband, and began a two-year Americorps VISTA term at Federal Valley Resource Center in Stewart, Ohio.

In 2008 Emily completed a series of 12 paintings about extinct bird species called “Silent Flight”. Since 2005 she has created posters for her husband’s dance night he DJ’s called “Dance or Die”. Over the years she has made well over 100 posters for him, and continues this labor of love today. Currently Emily lives in Athens with her husband and two dogs, and enjoys the use of a large attic/painting studio that she uses full time for her own work as well as commissions.
