Columbus Rd./N. Lancaster St. Infrastructure Improvements Project – Planned Water Outages and Intersection Closures
The Contractor will be working on the waterline tie-ins on North Lancaster Street this Friday and Saturday, November 8th & 9th.
This work will necessitate water outages that may include all or some of the following streets: Ark St., Brown Ave., Central Ave., Clarke St., Curran Dr., Currier St., Earich Rd., Elizabeth Dr., First St., Fremont Ave., Granville Ave., Hanlin Ave., Mary St., Miller St., Mound St., Pine St., Rardin Ave., Raymond Dr., Ring St., Salem Ave., Second St., Slaughter Dr., Sunset Dr., Third St., Walker St., West Hills Dr., N. Lancaster St. from the W. State St. intersection to its northern termini, Columbia Ave. between the N. Lancaster St. and Troy St. intersections, N. Shafer St. between the Washington St. and Rardin Ave. intersections, W. State St. between the Cemetery St. intersection and the Athens Garden Apartments, & W. Carpenter St. between the Mound St. and N. Lancaster St. intersections. A map of the streets possibly affected by the water outages is available to view at the end of this news release.
The water outages are expected to occur at 8 a.m. each day and will continue until the construction crews are finished for the day. Water outages will only last as long as the crews are working, water services will be restored overnight. A precautionary boil order will be issued for any outages that occur as a result of the work. To help the city track the water outages, we are requesting that if residents do experience a water outage on Friday or Saturday, to please call our office (leave a voicemail Saturday), 593-7636, with their address.
This work will also necessitate Second St. to be closed at the Columbus Rd./N. Lancaster St. intersection on Friday beginning at 7:30 a.m. until the work is completed that day, and First St. to be closed at the N. Lancaster St. intersection on Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m. until the work is completed that day.
