New Crafts on the Block Event Launches Ohio on Tap Magazine at Ohio Brew Week
Ohio Brew Week in Athens is a ten day celebration of all things Ohio craft beer. It will be the perfect setting for the Ohio Craft Brewers Association to serve up a fresh experience, “New Crafts on the Block”. The event will serve to launch the new Ohio on Tap craft beer magazine and to introduce the beers of some of Ohio’s newest breweries to the craft-beer-loving crowd that patronizes the annual Ohio Brew Week. “New Crafts on the Block” will take place on Friday, July 18 from 7-10 p.m. (VIP admission at 6 p.m.) at ARTS/West in the theater and parking lot. Cheers to our Allied Members who are supporting the event: Blue Label Digital Printing, Boelter Companies, Ohio Magazine and Sahm Glass.
The Ohio Craft Brewers Association created Ohio on Tap magazine in conjunction with Great Lakes Publishing (publishers of Ohio Magazine) to serve as an informational guide to the craft breweries of Ohio. The annual publication will include a history of Ohio’s brewing industry, description of beer styles, regional beer trails, food pairings and other interesting craft beer stories and news. The magazine will debut at Ohio Brew Week and then be distributed by tourism information centers, craft beer retailers, craft breweries, craft beer events and other sites around the state.
“We are thrilled to be participating in Ohio Brew Week with a featured event,” said Mary MacDonald, Executive Director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. “New Crafts on the Block will introduce some of Ohio’s newest craft brewers, those who opened last year or more recently, and our new magazine, Ohio on Tap. We think it’s the perfect combination!”
