Through a recent arrest, the Athens Police Department recovered, what we believe to be, several stolen items. We believe the items to have been stolen between late afternoon Sunday October 26th to the early morning hours of Sunday October 27th from inside vehicles as well as from sheds/garages/storage buildings on the near East side (Morris to Elmwood area). We have more items than we have reports for stolen property, and we suspect that many residents may not be aware their property was stolen. We are asking East side residents to check their vehicles and property and contact Officer Nick Magruder at 592-3315 if they find property missing.
