The City of Athens is announcing that there will be a short water outage beginning at 1:30 P. M. today for all of Athens west of the County Fairgrounds due to an emergency pipe repair. The outage should be less than 2 hours. Motorists are asked to avoid West Union Street between State Route 682 and Blue Line Drive. The City apologizes for any inconvenience.
