The City of Athens Engineering and Public Works Department announces that repairs are scheduled to be made to the drainage system on the underside of the US 33 bridge over E. State Street. The work will be completed by a contractor, and will require welding with workers operating from an overhead lift. One eastbound lane will be partially blocked and traffic will be constricted. Work will begin on 4 February, 2015, and be conducted between 7:30am and 5pm weekdays until complete. The work is expected to last several weeks.
