The City of Athens will be working with Fields Excavating, the contractor for the Water System Improvements Project, at the intersection of East State Street and Harris Road throughout next week.
During the work in this intersection, the eastbound East State Street lane will be closed between Lorene Avenue and Home Street from the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. During these times eastbound traffic will be detoured through Lorene Avenue, Elmwood Place, and Home Street. The work is expected to begin Monday, October 1, 2012 and be completed by Friday, October 5, 2012.
